It’s strange to experience this roller coaster of up and down emotions when I’m usually quite level-headed. Some days I’m so slow to get motivated and I try to convince myself how lovely it is to be on an indefinite holiday-type-of-sorts, and then there are the other days when I’m chomping at the bit to just get on with things that are not possible to do right now.
These impossible things that can’t be achieved cause considerable frustration and grumpiness, but I just have to get over myself and keep perspective - or as we say lately (yes, the jokes are getting poor), pusspective. We have an only child in the house and the cat is suffering silently, think ‘Darla’ from Finding Nemo.
Our old boy Max is a total cruiser and lives his life permanently in lockdown. He gets up only for essential reasons and is more than happy to not socialise. Recently, we moved to a new house and he coped fairly well but lately, he is reverting to his old skittish ways. What he seriously can’t understand is, why is it that Darla is not leaving the house for a good six hours per day, five days a week at the very least, allowing him his peaceful, uninterrupted, necessary, daytime slumberthon?
There has been much hissing lately and a few tears - but and I can totally see his pusspective.
